Eric Duplan, is a full time abstract artist based in Tshwane. He was born in Bayonne, France in 1962. He spent some of his childhood in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda. As a self-taught artist, he started painting full time in 1989. His works consist of large landscapes and topographical / architectural works which he re-interprets into figures and symbols. His works are filled with forms and spaces which have been abstracted and interpreted from the artists mind onto the surface.
Duplan has exhibited extensively and his works are represented in numerous collections including: UNISA, Old Mutual, Webber Wentzel, Hollards, Mbombela Council, IBM SA, Bellingham, Rooth & Wessels, Media 24, Spier and MAP Richmond.
